Miniature Horses

Skyfield Acres is a miniature horse farm located at Skyfield by the Sea B&B and owned by prize-winning trainer and instructor Leslie Spencer.

Skyfield miniature horses are gentle, loving, and ideally suited for children first learning to ride and care for horses.

Miniatures are true horses but require a good deal less food and space than their full-sized cousins. An acre per miniature horse is sufficient for grazing. A bale of hay lasts up to a month.

They need to be groomed, cared for, and followed by a Vet the same as other horses and thus teach children all the essentials of horse ownership.
At Skyfield Acres we provide lessons for the training and care of miniatures.

We offer a series of four 45-minute "Horsemanship Lessons" for $80.

Leslie, a Massachusetts Licensed Instructor, accentuates a positive, loving approach toward horses and a kind, supportive, and friendly atmosphere for her students.

She has trained show horses for many years, traveling the entire U.S. to appear in competitions.

She welcomes students of all ages and levels of experience.

Her only requirement is that her students enjoy their lessons and learn to treat animals with care, love, and respect.
